ORIGINAL POST:

Rumors are swirling, and it looks like we may soon be referring to Ringo Starr as Sir Ringo Starr.

While the official announcement won’t be made until New Year’s Day, a close friend of Starr’s reportedly confirmed his name to be on the 2018 list, says The Sun.

Over fifty years ago in 1965, all four members of The Beatles received the Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), and about thirty years later in 1997, Paul McCartney was knighted.

If Ringo Starr is the next in line to receive knighthood, he’d be recognized for his dedication to music and charity, reports The Sun.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but if knighted, Starr would be in good company, receiving the same title as previously knighted rockers Mick Jagger, Elton John, and Van Morrison.
