Gallery Honoring Seasoned Music Photographer Chris Cuffaro Coincides with GRAMMYs

February 8, 2017

With music’s biggest stars about to come together in Los Angeles for a night of celebration, there’s something else pretty amazing happening right near the site of Sunday’s 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

Earlier this month, hundreds of music lovers and history buffs gathered at the former site of Tower Records in West Hollywood. They were there to celebrate the three-decade career of a man who’s seen more GRAMMY winners in his life than many of us can ever imagine -- all in support of a great cause.

On February 2nd, Greatest Hits -- an art retrospective and photography exhibit highlighting the music photography of the legendary Chris Cuffaro opened at Gibson Brands Sunset, the former site of Tower Records. Of particular noteworthiness, 100% of the proceeds went to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund -- a charity that provides financial assistance to musicians facing illness, disability, or age-related problems.

The exhibition featured a slew of musical greats, including: Alice in Chains, Brian Wilson, Eddie Vedder, Elvis Costello, George Harrison, INXS, Jackson Browne, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Slash, Willie Nelson, and 2017 GRAMMY nominee Iggy Pop, featured in the image below.

Iggy Pop’s Post Pop Depression is up for Best Alternative Music Album, and you can find out if he takes the GRAMMY this Sunday, February 12 on CBS.
