On March 1st, 1973, Pink Floyd would release not only one of their best albums ever recorded, but one of the greatest albums of all time. With 15 million copies sold in the US and over 45 million copies sold worldwide, Dark Side of the Moon was as much a commercial success as it was an artistic success. So much that it spent a mind-blowing 937 weeks on the Billboard 200, which accumulates to just over 18 years!

With hits like "Money," "Time," and "Brain Damage," Dark Side of the Moon made the successful crossover, from getting regular radio airplay to teens listening in their bedrooms while passing the bong around, genuinely singing songs of greed, war, death, and wasted lives.
